Process Of Purchasing Property For Diaspora Members
- Initial Enquiry To Mkono Poa Sales Agents On Available Plots & Prices.
- Sales Agents Responds By Sharing Current Plot Lists.
- Plot Selection Process either by using a subdivision map or sending a representative on your behalf.
- We provide you with a copy of the Title Deed & Mutation. This is to assist a search at the Land registry.
- The next step is payment. This can either be by Cash or Installments.
- Generation of an Offer Letter indicating the Purchase Price, Payment Terms, & Expected Closing Costs.
- Avail Personal Identification Details like Passport photos & Copies of your I.D or Passport & PIN.
- A Sale Agreement is prepared by a lawyer(either party can provide one).
- Application for Consent to Transfer (in triplicate) and Land transfer forms (in triplicate).
- Legal fees for transfer and registration is 8% of the plot value at the point of Title Deed processing.
- Documents sent to Land registry for title transfer & registration (takes 60 days at the Registrar).
- Congratulations, Your Title Deed is finally ready for handover. Can be collected in person or by proxy.
